Sexy Fine

The Mizzou fam, Souls of Liberty, comes through with a new track for all you sexy and positive women. Now you tell me, what man doesn't actually want this deep down?

Ill Side Radio

"Hope everybody enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday, I surely did! Time off is always a good deal, but Planetill’s Odeisel and I are back at it, and we return with much to talk about. Kanye, Nicki, and Curren$y all dropped new albums, and we discuss Jay-Z’s newest member to the Roc Nation imprint, Jay Electronica, and ask the question, does Puffy have a legitimate gripe about how the signing went down? Speaking of gripes, Americans are Piiisssed off at the new TSA screenings and hand pat downs, we talk about the latest outrage and why a Happy meal is no longer available in San Francisco. Sports discussion about the Vikings new Coach (85′ Bear alumni) Leslie Frazier, and the possibility of a NFL and NBA lockout next fall, how will you be spending your Sunday’s next year around this time with no Lebron or Peyton? All that and more! Roll on the Ill Side if ya aint scared."

Illside Radio: Chicago Edition

"October was a tremendous month for Chicago Hip-Hop with so many releases from Griffen, Neak, Add-2, Scheme, Capital D, Pugs Atomz, and of course Kanye's G.O.O.D. Friday series. I thought this would be a good time to start focusing more in depth on these great Chicago artists with this first Chicago Edition of Ill Side Radio.

The First half, I speak with Neak Undefined about his latest release, "Neak Rock" hosted by DJ Booth.net, working with Chicago's first lady of Hip Hop, Ang 13, and a upcoming project with Mulatto Patriot.

The Second Half, Molemen recording artist Scheme and I break down his upcoming project "Same Rebel, New Cause" set to drop on November 9th. Discussion ranges from the guest spots on the album, what kind of production he prefers and the lack of quality emcees in the game today. Scheme's album release party is slated for November 17, 2010 at the Dark Room hosted by Visual (peace!) so go support that if you can.

Enjoy the show, and I'll return later in the week with Planetill.com's Odeisel as we break down the latest and greatest in Hip Hop." - Square One

Based On Halloween..

Trick or treating wasn't the only thing going down last night here in Chicago. Hustle Simmons' latest installment of his "Hustlepalooza" series took place at the Wild Hare & The Based God himself, Lil' B took to the stage for what I believe is only his 3rd or 4th major show since his new found stardom. Now, I know what a lot of you were thinking.. who would pay to see Lil' B? Well, the packed crowd at the show obviously. The show kicked off with rapper Prez, who I initially thought was from the DMV. I was shocked to learn that he was actually a Chicagoan because his music sounded unlike anything "Chicagoish".

Next up was SG, an artist that has been killing the Victor Hotel open-mic's for a while now. Joined on stage by another artist (I believe his name was Twenty Inch.. don't quote me though), SG put on a pretty dope set. After running through his 1st joint, SG let his homie 20 perform his single "Lambo Low", which sounded quite nice on the Wild Hare's sound system. The two then closed the set out with a joint that I caught myself reciting on the way home. Not too sure of the name, but the lyrics "All this pussy" stood out & made for a pretty hilarious yet catchy tune.

In between sets, Hustle allowed people from the audience hit the stage & "freestyle" for a hat. Pretty cool huh? Where's there's freestyling, there will be hilarity. You would have to had seen it yourself. After that, The Basix hit the stage for what turned out to be my least favorite set of the night. I just couldn't get into what sounded like "trap rap" from people who looked like they had never even been close to a trap. Maybe it was the unnecessary people on stage with them? Who knows. I'll definitely check 'em out again, on my own time though. Once they wrapped up, the homie Vyle began his set, which was pretty cool. I'm not familiar with his music, but I definitely enjoyed what I heard.

At this point in the show, I was joined upstairs by 6'2 sock monkey and an equally tall bed-sheet ghost with glasses. I forgot it was All Hallow's Eve. With random yells of "We want Based God!", "Swag!" & "Where's Lil' B?" coming from the crowd, PHLI's Dave Jeff took the mic to introduce the next act, Black Orchard. When I say that they killed it, they KILLED it. I would've been fine just seeing a full show from them! The music & their wackiness made for a great performance. Hell, the sock monkey damn near lost his mind dancing during their set. They definitely gained a fan in me & many others.

Hustle was then joined by Naledge (of Kidz In The Hall), who helped take on hosting duties & even took a lil' time to perform his version of Gucci Mane's "Lemonade". A random (and unneeded, in my opinion) performance from KM followed. It was then time for Rockie Fresh to introduce himself to the Based God supporters. Rockie definitely rocked his set, starting with "Feeling Good", "On Deck", "What's The Hurry" & finishing with "Fly Like This", for which he was joined on stage by YP. Shortly after, 368 Music Group's Phil Ade was up & did not disappoint. Before he hit the stage, Mr. Simmons' proclaimed that the "crown of D.C." was on Ade's head & I couldn't agree more. The youngster ran through "Unusual", "Always There", "Gimme Dat" & "OMG" before wrapping it up with my personal favorite, "Hollywood".

The time had come. Baseamaniacs were going to finally get what they had come for. DJ Vic Lloyd came out for a much needed "trap set" to get the crowd hype & even provided the sounds for the "cook-off" between someone who looked a lot like Cheddar Bob from the film 8 Mile and someone else from the audience. After witnessing that, the Based God was ready to take the stage. The crowd erupted upon seeing the Wolfpack member walk out in his usual get up of a t-shirt from the Children's Place & jeans from the youth section of Zumiez. Lil' B's set seemed to follow a format. Juke track, perform a joint, address the audience & repeat. Fans lost it as B ran through joints made popular by his YouTube account. I mean, someone offered to let him fuck their great grandmother. That's a true fan.

After announcing his new found love for Chicago's juke scene, letting Nicki Minaj know that he's the "baddest bitch" & performing track after track, I realized something. This guy just wants to have fun. Sure, his music may not stand up to Jay or 'Ye, but people actually enjoy it & he enjoys making it. If any of us was in position to have fun & make money from doing so, we would definitely do so. I may not be an actual fan of his music, but I definitely waked away with a new respect for the guy. All in all, the event was pretty dope & made for a fun Halloween night. Major shouts to Hustle Simmons, Angie & everyone else involved. Until next time!
