Apple Tablet Coming Soon

Well if you haven’t heard the news yet, Apple’s new tablet is about to hit the market soon. I don’t think there’s official pricing and release dates just yet (Apple always surrounds these things around secrecy) but rumors are floating that say it should launch around September 2009 with a price point of $699-$799. Could this be one of the reasons why Apple was never a fan of the whole netbook fad? Quite possibly… Well maybe this and the fact that the iPhone/iPod Touch is basically a netbook anyways (minus a physical QWERTY if you plan to type pages of documents on the go).

I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these to play around with. It would be a cool toy to have. Whether or not I actually use it often will be another story. Although the device isn’t e-ink, it will be interesting to see if Apple launches any kind of eBook platform to rival the likes of Amazon’s Kindle. We’ll just have to wait and see!
